What to expect
We’ll begin by taking time to build a real connection, one where you feel seen, understood, and well supported. From that foundation, we can more deeply explore what brought you to therapy and welcome your symptoms as guides pointing to what most needs our curiosity and care.
My style is warm and direct. Alongside engaged conversation, we may notice how memories and emotions live in the body, learn the symbolic language of dreams, and give voice to feelings through artistic expression. This approach opens to deeper layers of experience that might be difficult to reach through talk therapy alone. It can also bring an uplifting quality into the work, even when moving through painful experiences.
Together, we’ll discover what feels most supportive for you. Over time, unresolved experiences can gently integrate, your emotional resources can grow, and a greater sense of clarity, self-trust, and vitality can emerge.
Who I work with
I have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, gender and sexuality, life transitions, creative blocks, and spiritual inquiry.
More than any particular issue or diagnosis, this work tends to benefit people drawn to a deep process of self-reflection that integrates mind, body, and soul.
This may be a good fit for you if you’re longing for:
Healing from past experiences that continue to impact your life
A more compassionate, accepting and authentic relationship with yourself
Connections with others that feel healthy and meaningful
Insight into frustrating patterns that you can’t seem to change
The ability to feel grounded and less reactive during conflict and overwhelm
Empowered beliefs and choices that reflect what you truly value
Reconnection with your creativity, innate strengths, and inner knowing
Resilience, meaning, and belonging in a fractured world
A life that you genuinely want to live

About me
I am a New York-based Licensed Creative Arts Psychotherapist, group facilitator, and wellness program director. My own journey in therapy, searching for an approach that felt both spiritually meaningful while also grounded in psychological rigor and depth, is what inspired me to become a therapist.
For over a decade, I have worked clinically with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds across private practice, hospital, nonprofit and university settings. My training includes a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College along with advanced study in Modern Analytic Group Therapy, Experiential Dreamwork, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (a body-based trauma therapy), where I have also worked as a training assistant. I currently serve on the executive board of the New York Art Therapy Association.
My background in gardening and herbalism informs my understanding of healing as a natural and interconnected process, shaped by cycles of growth, loss, and renewal. My work is also influenced by an active studio art practice and over 20 years of meditation.
I believe that our histories, identities, and the larger systems that intersect and shape us are always present in therapy. I bring curiosity and humility to these dimensions of the therapeutic relationship, and remain committed to ongoing learning and self-examination.

Art therapy incorporates visual art, creative expression, and psychotherapy to support emotional healing, self-understanding, and nervous system regulation. It’s grounded in the idea that some experiences, particularly those shaped by trauma or in early life, can be difficult to process through words alone.
Creative expression offers a symbolic language that can hold complexity and contradiction, allowing multiple layers of experience to be expressed at once. It then becomes possible to witness inner dynamics from more of a distance and gain new perspectives. Because creativity is inherently life-affirming, artmaking can bring an uplifting quality into therapy even when working with painful themes.
No artistic skill is required. The focus is not on making something “good,” but on using the creative process as a way of listening inward. For those with an existing creative practice, this work can open new ways of relating to creativity. For others, it offers an accessible entry point into expression and self-exploration.
There are many different approaches and we will collaborate to discover the mediums, modalities, and processes that are right for you.

Somatic therapy is grounded in the understanding that mind, body, and spirit are different aspects of a unified whole, and that each person has an innate capacity toward healing when provided enough support. In sessions, it involves bringing mindful attention to what is happening in the body in the present moment and exploring how those somatic experiences are linked with emotions, memories, and core beliefs.
Through careful pacing and attunement, somatic therapy can help slow automatic reactivity and increase your ability to stay present with difficult or overwhelming feelings. It also brings awareness to how past experiences are held in the body so they can be gently met and gradually integrated. Over time, this work can support a greater sense of grounding, wellbeing and resilience.

My standard fee is $165 per 45-minute session. I also reserve a limited number of sliding-scale and low-fee spots in my practice in order to make therapy more accessible. If finances are a barrier, I encourage you to reach out. I am happy to discuss current availability and explore options together.
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, many insurance plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so I recommend checking with your insurance provider about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
If you are unsure what your benefits cover or whether therapy feels financially feasible right now, you are welcome to inquire. We can have a transparent, low-pressure conversation about fees and options.
